Laburnum's Victoria ("Lily")

.
And so the story begins...........We live in a small village in the beautiful Green Mountain state of Vermont with our two European Cream Golden Retriever bitches. In 2003 we were searching for a companion for Chip, our elderly male American Golden. In our quest, and after a great deal of research, we were fortunate to find Marion and Richard Dingley of Laburnum Golden Retrievers in The Netherlands. We were put on a waiting list for an expected litter and our lovely Laburnum's Double Destiny ("Mollie") arrived soon after. Mollie has been an absolute joy with her loving, sweet temperament and did indeed become a loyal companion to Chip until he passed away a few years later.
In 2007 Marion and Richard informed us of another litter due in August of that year. We definitely wanted to add another Laburnum bitch to our home and in October 2007 I flew to The Netherlands to retrieve Laburnum's Victoria ("Lily") at the age of 8 weeks. I was invited to stay with the Dingley's at their beautiful home along with the wonderful 4 legged members of their family. Their continued friendship and advice have encouraged us to breed our Lily. We didn't need to search long for the perfect stud as we had admired a certain dog for a long time--Erinderry Harry Potter of Ventess (Darcy). Jane and Norman Stevens of Ventess Golden Retrievers own this special dog. Jane and Norman of Ventess along with Marion and Richard of Laburnum will always be like family to us and we will forever value their friendship and knowledge of this wonderful breed.
